Welcome to Health & Neuropsychology

ABOUT ME
Dr. Rebekah Jamieson-Craig
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy, CPsychol, PGDip

I am a senior clinical psychologist specialising in neuropsychology and clinical health psychology, with over 15 years’ experience working with adults following acquired brain injury in post-acute inpatient, slow-stream rehabilitation settings and the community, alongside five-years experience working in a cardiac rehabilitation team. I am passionate about helping people and their families make sense of life after brain injury or health condition diagnoses, combining evidence-based psychological therapies with a compassionate, practical approach to rehabilitation. While assisting these client groups, I have also spent time working through more general mental health issues that affect all individuals to varying degrees.

Over the course of my career, I have led clinical neuropsychology services within the NHS and independent sector, including roles as Lead Clinical Psychologist in neuro-rehabilitation and Clinical Director/Lead Clinical Neuropsychologist. I currently lead the clinical psychology team in a busy, inner-London cardiac rehabilitation service. I regularly support individuals with complex cognitive, emotional and behavioural challenges, and provide consultation, supervision and training to multidisciplinary teams.

For many years, I have developed and run the “Understanding Brain Injury” group programme, which offers structured education, space for reflection, and peer support to those living with the effects of brain injury. This work has led to the creation of practical resources for clinicians who wish to deliver similar groups, reflecting my commitment to making high-quality neuropsychological rehabilitation more widely accessible. Following this group programme, a further programme focusing on the needs of the family members has now been created. In addition to these groups, a group aimed at assisting people who have been diagnosed with cardiac problems come to terms with these life-changing events is also in production.

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London and continue to draw on current research to inform my clinical practice. In 2025, I completed the PGDip in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Bristol. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and am registered to practice with the HCPC. Whether I am working directly with clients, supporting families, or supervising other professionals, my focus is always on promoting understanding, adjustment and meaningful recovery following life events.

SERVICES

I offer Individualised Personal Psychological Therapy, a tailored one-to-one approach addressing your unique emotional and psychological needs. The therapy will focus on supporting your adjustment to life challenges, whether that is due to physical health, mental health or adjustment difficulties, through evidence-based practice, such as CBT, ACT and CFT. Where necessary, neurorehabilitation strategies will be implemented to increase your function and independence after a brain injury or neurological condition. Using my expertise, I combine compassion with cutting-edge practices to empower your meaningful recovery and wellbeing.

Prior to an initial appointment, it is helpful to have an informal conversation through telephone or email. This will allow me to answer any questions you may have about psychological therapy and to find out a little information about the issues you are struggling with.

Currently, I will be offering sessions on a Monday, and on an online basis only. This means that you can access my services from the comfort of your home, wherever you live.

TESTIMONIALS

Pete

My psychologist clearly had real-world experience relevant to the physical issues I was dealing with and accurately anticipated the psychological effects I was likely to face. Hence, the strategies I needed to develop were much easier to both start and maintain. One of the most important things for me was that although heart failure was the principal reason for obtaining support, it was the comorbidities, i.e., diabetes and pain management for trigeminal neuralgia, that often had more presence in therapy. That the psychological support was holistic and treated me as a whole, rather than the consequence of one particular problem, was exceptional.  I felt there was one place I could be understood without having to explain myself constantly to people around me. Very reassuring and supportive

Abigail

I worked with Rebekah over the course of a couple of years after I had a SCAD heart attack at 43 years old. I found her support invaluable. She provided me with a number of tools and techniques that I still use and gave me space to discuss any aspect of my recovery that I needed to. Since finishing my cardiac rehab sessions, I have booked further appointments with her and was very reassured by her calm and practical approach. Thank you, Rebekah!

Doug's Family

Rebekah’s dedication to supporting individuals with brain injuries is exceptional. She supported my brother's neuro-rehabilitation for a number of years, and her professionalism, insight, expertise and clear communication made a profound difference to his rehabilitation.

Rebekah has a unique ability to understand a person’s needs and challenges, and work alongside them and their families, as well as involved professionals, to stretch their capabilities and create meaningful opportunities for them to grow in confidence, skills, and independence.

She has a uniquely personalised approach to establishing a trusted working relationship with her clients and their families and explains therapeutic processes and approaches clearly, helping us feel informed and supported every step of the way. Rebekah’s contribution to my brother’s progress was invaluable, and we remain deeply grateful for the expertise and insight she brought to his care.

I am particularly grateful for Rebekah’s understanding that providing my brother with a sense of independence was extremely important to both him and to our family. Through her leadership, she coordinated and guided the professionals involved in his care to make this a central focus. This work enabled him to safely achieve a level of independence that previous clinicians had considered unattainable, and the progress made under her direction continues to have a lasting and meaningful impact on his quality of life.

I look forward to your message
